SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability can be defined in a multitude of ways, but all definitions are some form of the main principle, that we should behave in a manner that is appropriate for our environment and its inhabitants. In our field, this entails designing buildings, infrastructure, parks, and products with an eye to how these designs are going to not only effect their end users, but also the environment. Buildings consume a massive percentage of all energy produced today, and designing and constructing buildings to achieve a small environmental footprint is an essential part in reducing the negative effects of fossil fuel consumption. There are a variety of ways in which a building can achieve low energy consumption, and each building approached by TDI utilizes a number of sustainable building strategies.
GEG/TDI
TDI is working with Green Energy Group (GEG) in order to provide turnkey building solutions. GEG is comprised of Windtech, Greentech, and Green Construction Group, and together with TDI is able to take a building from concept all the way through a built project in a fully coordinated and streamlined process. Windtech provides wind powered electrical generation design and installation, while Greentech provides solar powered electrical and energy generation design and installation. Green Construction Group is a full construction and management company that works with cutting edge designs to deliver high quality projects. Click here to go to Green Energy Group's website.
